Transferring stock is an easy way to support the educational mission of GoNorth!, and gifts of securities may provide additional benefits to the donor:

• A stock gift can increase the value of your gift to GoNorth! and decrease the cost to you
• You can take a charitable income-tax deduction for the fair-market value of gifted securities
• You can eliminate capital gains taxes that would ordinarily apply if you had sold appreciated securities on the open market and donated the proceeds of the sale to GoNorth!

We will provide you with the information that you and your broker will need to initiate the transfer.
